Reviews and Ratings
The hotel is a cozy gem surrounded by Canadian art and stunning water views. The service was friendly but showed some inexperience in the front desk team. The location offers beautiful natural scenery and easy access to outdoor attractions. The dining experience resembled a lovely bed and breakfast setting. The facilities were well-maintained, providing a comfortable stay.
Staying at Wickanninish Inn in Tofino last month was a delightful experience. The large, wonderfully appointed rooms were fancy with white table cloths, china, and silverware, offering a luxurious touch. However, the service, while helpful, lacked enthusiasm, and the location, though gorgeous, showed signs of needing a refresh. The dining was superb, highlighting sustainability and localism, yet some dishes fell short. Overall, the facilities were convenient but slightly pricey.
During daylight savings time, the rooms were wonderful and I highly recommend staying when in Sooke. The view overlooking the harbor was stunning, though the extra $100 per night for four people was a bit pricey.
My stay at this hotel was absolutely amazing! The room, thanks to the helpful restaurant staff, was beautifully decorated with a king-sized bed, TV, radio/stereo system, fridge, walk-in shower, wood fireplace, outdoor hot tub for two, and the most beautiful view of Sooke Harbour.
I had a mixed experience at the hotel. The rooms were comfortable and filled with amenities, but the decor felt outdated. The service was friendly overall, but there was a slight hiccup with the check-out process. The location was great for exploring Sooke, despite needing a bit of a refresh. The dining had some highlights in terms of sustainability, but some dishes fell short. The facilities were decent, but there was room for improvement.
I felt like royalty staying in their rooms! The suite had a large wood-burning fireplace all set up and ready to light, and a small kitchenette with all the essentials you need for a cozy stay. The vaulted ceilings and massive stone fireplace in the room, along with a private balcony offering a breathtaking water view, made it a dreamy escape. The cuisine-themed room added a unique touch to the experience.
The hotel offers a lovely fireplace in the rooms with a great view of the ocean, making for a comfortable and clean stay. The service was friendly but lacked enthusiasm at times. The location is ideal for exploring Sooke and its beautiful surroundings, although some minor issues with theft were noted. The dining experience featured superb locally sourced dishes but had some inconsistencies. Overall, a peaceful and enjoyable stay with beautiful views.
Our stay at Wickanninish Inn in Tofino last month was truly memorable. The rooms offered privacy and stunning views of the strait, creating a lovely atmosphere. Highly recommend for a Sooke getaway.
My stay at the hotel was absolutely delightful! The rooms with a terrace and a hot tub overlooking the harbor were a wonderful place to relax and enjoy some world-class cuisine with a cozy fireplace. The service, despite showing signs of being around for 40 years, was top-notch as the staff checked us in promptly and guided us to our room. The location was fantastic, allowing us to witness seals right from the garden and enjoy stunning views of Wiffin Spit and the Straight of Juan De Fuca and the Olympic Peninsula. However, the dining experience fell short as we couldn't enjoy some dishes, and the facilities were not as efficient due to long waiting times.
The hotel is situated in a picturesque location with views of the Straight of Juan De Fuca and the Olympic Peninsula. The quaint and well-groomed surroundings add to the charm of the place. However, some areas have been neglected for a long time. The hotel offers a good location with easy access to a walking trail and a short drive to natural wonders like the 'Pothole'.
